Wireless Update.
SNAFU.
This computer works okay on wireless. Internal walls of crumbly old house appear to be annoyingly solid as far as network transmissions go. Fortunately, wireless router also has plugs at back for wires (just in case).
Sooooooo.....
This computer has wireless internet connection.
The wireless router and broadband modem both sit neatly on top of this computer. (look, no wires!)
The computer at the other end of house is connected by magic blue string. This was rather handily running the length of the corridor already. Unfortunately, getting rid of this cable was ONE OF THE REASONS I WANTED WIRELESS IN THE FIRST PLACE!!
And the computers can't see each other on the network either.
In other news, the Family Whiners League is lobbying to have the computer game "Hitman: Contracts" banned. Having recently bought this game, I am pleased. I feel validated in some way. If people like that are against it, then I'm for it.
